Yash Law Group has represented clients throughout California, including Orange, San Bernardino, Riverside, Santa Barbara, and Los Angeles Counties, to resolve their legal disputes. The examples below represent a small sample of successful results we’ve obtained for clients in employment and labor law disputes and business disputes. We use aggressive litigation strategies while adhering to our clients’ concerns and goals, to achieve results that are satisfactory to our clients.
The past results described below are not a guarantee or assurance of success in cases we take in the future. No attorney can guarantee positive results in a case. The outcome of each case depends upon many factors, including the facts of the case.Civil Lawsuits
$775,000 judgment obtained in business dispute. Yash Law Group represented a business owner in a business dispute involving numerous unpaid invoices. We obtained a judgment in favor of our client and against the defendants for nearly $775,000. Appeal pending.
$100,000 confidential settlement in employment dispute. Yash Law Group represented a former employee of a California corporation. The employer allegedly failed to pay our client for all her overtime hours worked, failed to pay her for her vested vacation time, and generally created miserable working conditions for our client. Our client was wrongfully terminated when she complained to her employer about not being paid properly, not receiving breaks, and for other unlawful activities that she discovered her employer was engaging in. She was a “whistleblower.” After litigating the case for only a few months, Yash Law Group successfully recovered a six-figure settlement payment on behalf of our client.
Confidential settlement in employment dispute, including post-employment health coverage. Our firm represented a young, Los Angeles county resident who was still working for the employer that we sued. We not only represented the employee in the civil lawsuit but also remained in close contact with the client and opposing counsel to ensure her employer did not take any adverse employment actions against her as a result of the lawsuit. We obtained a substantial monetary recovery for our client, which included payments for months of health insurance coverage.
$75,000 recovery in single-plaintiff employment action.
Obtained dismissal for small business owner in employment dispute. Yash Law Group represented a retail store located in Los Angeles County, California who was sued for alleged wage-and-hour violations under the California Labor Code. The case was heavily litigated, including motion practice and substantial written discovery requests and responses. Yashdeep “Jesse” Singh, Esq., the principal attorney at Yash Law, learned during discovery that the former employee seemed to have stolen proprietary information from our client. We promptly took action, filing a cross-complaint against the employee that included multiple causes of action, including misappropriation of trade secret information and invasion of privacy rights. Fearing our client would recover more at trial than him, the former employee agreed to a mutual dismissal of the cases, receiving no money in exchange.
Negotiated low confidential settlement for small business owner in Orange County, California. Yash Law represented a California corporation in a civil lawsuit in the Orange County Superior Court of California brought by a disgruntled employee. Yashdeep “Jesse” Singh, Esq. was substituted in as counsel nearly a year after the case was filed. We swiftly scheduled depositions and filed a motion for summary judgment, requesting the Court dismiss the case in its entirety. After the depositions and before the hearing on the motion for summary judgment, the employee settled with our client for a low four-figure sum, after demanding more than $250,000 just before our law firm was hired. As part of the settlement, the employee agreed never to apply for employment with our client or any of her other businesses and never to disparage our client, her family, or her employees.Administrative Charges

We represent employees on a contingency basis when prosecuting a claim before the Labor Commissioner. We have a very high success rate in recovering money for the client, by way of settlement, before the final hearing.
We represent employers on a flat fee basis when defending a client before the California Labor Commissioner. We have successfully defended employers against employees who file frivolous claims for unpaid wages, including obtaining judgments of $0 following the final hearing. We also represent employers at appellate proceedings when a Labor Commissioner ruling is appealed by an employee.
Investigations. Yash Law Group also has represented employers located throughout Southern California in investigations by the United States Department of Labor (US DOL) and California Division of Labor Standards Enforcement (DLSE). These agencies generally decide to investigate a company as a result of a complaint by an employee or, equally likely, a nearby competitor. The agencies will thoroughly review your time records, employment policies, and other employment and payroll records. Yashdeep “Jesse” Singh, Esq. has helped businesses in Orange County and throughout California with this investigation process, including attending hearings and assisting with the audit process to ensure full compliance.
